Attempts to query an LDAP server fails with the error 'LDAP server connection failed in SSL initialization attempt'

Technote Number: 1252169

Problem:
This behavior occurs when the user does not login with a fully qualified domain
name or hierarchical name. For example, the "Login Name" field in the Account
document contains ADUserName instead of ADUserName@DomainName.org or
DomainName\ADUserName.
To resolve the issue, ensure the Login Name field in the Account document
contains a fully qualified domain name or hierarchical name.
An enhancement request to change the "Login Name" field popup help was reported
to Quality Engineering and has been addressed in Notes 7.0.1.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 7.0.1 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):
Template
SPR# VDSE6DFKCF - Added more information to the popup for the "Login Name"
field to tell the user to enter a hierarchical name into the field.

Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.
